What Riders Are Saying Teams Crew and Volunteers The Forest Ride Fast Facts

FAQs
WHAT IS THE TERRAIN LIKE?
Beautiful, scenic, and challenging! Picture rolling hills, lush farmland, and the peak of fall color. Our ride will take you through the Hudson Highlands into the Catskills, from Orange to Ulster County and back.

I DON'T KNOW IF I WILL RIDE ONE DAY OR THREE DAYS. SHOULD I REGISTER NOW OR WAIT?
Register today to reserve your space on the ride. As soon as your fundraising account totals $900 or more, you are qualified for the one-day option. Then, when your fundraising account hits $1,800 in donations, you are automatically qualified for the full three days. The earlier you register, the more time you'll have to hit your goal, so register today and let's get started!

MAY I PICK MY OWN ROOMMATE?
The Forest Lodge contains 10 bedrooms that sleep four to eight people apiece. You may request roommates and we will do our best to accommodate you within the constraints of the Lodge.

CAN I PITCH A TENT AND CAMP IN THE FOREST?
Yes! If you prefer to spend the weekend camping instead of sleeping indoors in the Forest Lodge, you are welcome to do so. Please note that you must bring your own tent and are responsible for sleeping bags and for cleaning up your site if you choose this option.

HOW MUCH OF THE MONEY WILL GO TO BLACK ROCK FOREST CONSORTIUM?
We work very hard to keep production expenses as low as possible by soliciting sponsorships, donations, and discounts for supplies. Ultimately, the amount of money, and the percent return, depends upon how many people ride and how much each rider raises.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE?
Yes, all participants must be at least 18 years old by the start of the Ride.
