Crew, Volunteers, and Cheerleaders
We welcome volunteers in many capacities on The Forest Ride: crew, volunteers, and cheerleaders.

The crew are volunteers who support the Ride from beginning to end, starting with the crew training on Friday afternoon and continuing through the closing celebration on Monday. Crew stay and eat with the riders the entire weekend. Each crew member is assigned a specific role on the event: They may mark the route, carry the gear, provide sweep support, hand out beverages and snacks at the oases, serve lunch, provide medical and motorcycle safety support, and so on. Your $50 registration fee helps to defray food and lodging expenses.

We will also welcome day volunteers on Sunday. We will have limited, specific needs for day volunteers; if you are interested, please call us at 212.989.1111 to learn more.

We encourage friends and family to come out and cheer for the riders. About two weeks before the Ride, we will post a list of designated cheering stations here on this website. Please come out and cheer! Due to cost and space considerations, we regret that we cannot offer meals or lodging for cheerleaders, but we will be happy to provide information to keep you close to your loved ones.
